Our Club - A hidden gem
Barnack Bowls Vision is to enrich the lives of our members, associates, the wider community and all those who play at our club.
We offer a full range of participation in the sport from social to competitive bowls at all levels. We are a small club with a community and social purpose at our core.
Anyone wishing to try the sport is most welcome. No equipment is required, we just ask that you wear flat soled shoes. We have regular open days and learn to bowl sessions which are advertised on Our Events page.
We have a wide range of bowling opportunities catering for all ages and group size. Our family bowls sessions are a fun way to play sport together, and to mix with other families in the area.

Our bowling
We are a bowling club who encourage participation in the sport. Offering a lifetime of sport with an ethos of encouraging all bowlers to reach their full potential.
We offer social, inter-club friendlies, internal competitions, and league bowling against other clubs in the area.
We have a full programme of playing activities throughout the summer so there are plenty of opportunities to play.

Our Events
As a club we go beyond playing bowls.
Throughout the year we offer a mixed package of events designed to appeal to members and non-members.
For members we have a varied programme including internal galas, coffee bowls, evening meals, fun days, and games evenings.
For non-members we are able to run birthday parties, social events, bowls 'n' brunch, corporate events, and have regular events for groups and families.

Social Friendly Competitive
How about Pétanque?
Petanque has been played at Barnack since 2020. We have three gravel terrains in the car park for games. Depending on the number of people, we play three boule doubles or two boule triples.
Everyone is welcome to play, no experience is necessary, and all equipment is provided by the club
We play during the winter (out of bowls season) on Thursday and Saturday Mornings from 10.00 for two hours.
Complimentary refreshments are provided.
